Jane Wyman played "Angela Giobberti Channing" the owner of the "Falcon Crest" winery. Before starring in the series she was already a much-loved Hollywood star and had been nominated for an Oscar four times. She won the Oscar for Best Actress in the 1948 film "Johnny Belinda". She won four Golden Globes, one of them for her acting in the "Falcon Crest" series.
