Mr. Jones definitely had one of the more longer runs in the soap opera business playing "Dr. Mark Toland" on "One Life To Live" from 1971 until 1975. His character wasn't as shallow as people would think, going through the transformation from a likable, kind-hearted Doctor to a shifty con artist over the course of the show. His character was shot in the head at some point, leaving Jones to pursue a major career in Hollywood film acting.
