Due to his football injury, which ultimately led him to retiring from the NFL, John Matuszak decided to focus his energy on acting throughout the 80's. He starred in several different movies and TV shows such as "One Crazy Summer", "Perfect Strangers", "M*A*S*H" and the "Dukes of Hazzard". Sadly, John passed away on June 17, 1989 due to an accidental overdose of the prescription drug Darvocet. He was 38 at the time of his passing.
