“Gone with the Wind“: The film, produced in 1939, is still legendary! The epic romance film is based on Margaret Mitchell‘s novel of the same name from 1936. The movie is about “Scarlett O‘Hara“ (Vivien Leigh) and her romantic pursuit of “Ashley Wilke”s (Leslie Howard), and her eventual marriage to “Rhett Butler” (Clark Gable). All in all it‘s one of the great romantic films of the 20th century, set in the South against the backdrop of the the American Civil War.
