In "Two and a Half Men", "Walden" has a near-death experience, which results in him going through an existential crisis during which he decides to adopt a child. Since this is almost impossible for a single man to do, he asks his best friend and roommate "Allan" to marry him. The two are married in a small registry office and "Walden" even declares his love for "Allan" in a heartwarming fashion.
