In Disneyland there was already a ride called "Pirates of the Caribbean" before the film was produced. Elements of the ride were used in the film. In one such scene, "Jack" and his cellmate are trapped. His cellmate wants to coax the watchdog, who has the key to the cell, to come closer. However, "Jack" tells him not to bother, saying, "the dog will not move anyway", an allusion to the fact that the dog in the Disneyland attraction does not move either.
