In 1988, Alan Rickman was already 42 years old. In the same year he played Bruce Willis' nemesis in "Die Hard", earning his long-awaited breakthrough. Most of the younger generation probably knows him better as "Severus Snape", the nasty, grotty teacher in "Harry Potter". Unfortunately the highly talented actor died in 2016 at the age of just 69 from cancer .
