Andy Serkis played "Gollum/Smeagol" in all three “The Lord of the Rings” films and naturally, reprised his role for the “Hobbit” trilogy. His advances in the field of motion capture acting, animation and voice work have been tremendous and he has spearheaded the development of new technology with films such as “The Planet of the Apes”, in which he portrays the ape “Ceasar”. Since 2015, he plays the dark leader of the First Order "Supreme Leader Snoke" in the new "Star Wars" films.
