Mindy Kaling has her very own successful comedy series "The Mindy Project". The show not only highlights her acting skills, she also wrote and produced it. One TV network thought she was a great comedian and broadcast one of her other sitcoms, but did not let her play the leading role. They wanted to have someone that they believed to be prettier.
