The death of "George O'Malley" (T.R. Knight) on "Grey's Anatomy" was solved towards the end of the series. This was one of the most dramatic deaths in TV history. Fans didn't know that their favorite character was on "Meredith Grey's" operating table. "George" was run over by a bus and couldn't be identified until wrote his nickname into the palm of "Meredith's" hand. Her screams can still be heard today.
