Heath Ledger († 28) first started acting in TV series. "10 things I hate about you" was his big breakthrough. He starred in numerous films and soon became part of Hollywood's A-list. In 2006 he was nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Brokeback Mountain". In 2008 he played the "Joker" in "The Dark Knight" and gave a sensational performance. In the same year, the successful actor died from acute intoxication, having consumed a cocktail of various painkillers and sedatives. Heath Ledger was awarded a Golden Globe and an Oscar "Best Supporting Actor" for his role as the "Joker" posthumously.
